Buy AVL Lunch is a direct sponsorship program to help 12 Baskets Cafe where a business or individual helps offset the average daily cost of food and operations. With your donation of $500 or more, you are helping fight food insecurity in Buncombe County.

Sponsor our Free Community Lunch Program!

Through our “Buy AVL Lunch” program you can be a part of building community and sharing abundance in Asheville. You can support a mission centered on bringing people together and enriching understanding through hospitality. Your contribution will go toward serving lunch to around 130 people each day. what your contribution will go to:

  • Pay monthly rent, our largest and most important bill.

  • Purchase kitchen and cleaning supplies.

  • Pay utilities, insurance, water, and operating costs (that grants don’t often cover).

What you get:

  • Special shout-out and picture on all 12 Baskets Cafe social media platforms (we'll tag your accounts!) and mentions in our weekly newsletter. Your logo and business name will be placed on our website.

  • You are invited to set up a table at our community meal to talk to people and share information about your business/organization.

  • The day will be added to our community events calendar on our website.

12 baskets cafe takeover

Bring your office, church, or community group to 12 Baskets Cafe and take over our lunch service! Your team will be trained to serve our community meal, help with dishes, bus tables, and help clean the space after the meal.

12 Baskets Staff will be on-site to support, but this is a great opportunity for your team to deeply engage the community through service.

Takeover Day Schedule:

10:00 AM: Arrive 12 Baskets Cafe and meet Staff and other volunteers. Learn more about poverty and economic justice in Asheville/Buncombe County. Learn about our mission, the impact made, and how you can play a crucial role in serving the community.

10:30 AM: Get trained on how we serve lunch at 12B!

11:00 AM: Lunch starts! Serve. Also, take time to sit, enjoy lunch, BE served, build relationships, and meet new friends.

1:00 PM: Lunch is over! Let’s clean up and debrief.
